The EventOra Dance Awards 2026 is a community celebration for Ottawa & Gatineau. We are recognizing the people who keep our scene alive: event organizers, DJs, dancers, and instructors who contribute their time and passion.
It’s our way of saying “thank you” to those who give their time, energy, and passion to keep the dance community active, connected, and growing.
Everyone in the Ottawa–Gatineau dance community can nominate: dancers, instructors, organizers, DJs, volunteers, studio owners, and even people who just love to attend events.
If you are part of the community, your voice matters and your nomination counts.
You can nominate anyone who contributes to our local dance scene. Our main 2026 categories are:
• Best Event Organizer
• Best DJ
• Best Instructor
As the project grows, we may add more categories based on community feedback.
Step 1 – Nominations: We spread the word across Ottawa & Gatineau and invite everyone to nominate their favourite event organizers, DJs, and instructors.
Step 2 – AI & Finalists: We use AI to organize all the names, clean duplicates, and prepare a clear list of nominees in each category.
Step 3 – Community Voting: We invite the community again to vote for their favourites in every category.
Step 4 – Awards Night 2026: At the big event, we announce the winners, celebrate them on stage, and enjoy a night full of shows, dancing, and surprises.
The first community poll (nomination phase) closes on December 14th. Please nominate your favourite organizers, DJs, and instructors before the deadline.
After the poll closes, the Top 3 finalists in each category move forward to the next voting round and will be honored at the EventOra Dance Awards 2026.
After December 14th, we use our AI system to collect, organize, and clean all the nominated names in each category.
The community-supported nominees are added to the official voting system, and everyone will be invited to vote again. The Top 3 in each category become the finalists and will be celebrated at the EventOra Dance Awards Night 2026 — a night full of recognition, gratitude, and surprises.
Once the finalists are confirmed, community voting opens online. Everyone can vote for their favourite in each category, and each person gets one vote per category.
The winners are decided by community votes, with EventOra doing a final review only to ensure fairness and avoid duplication or errors.
Our goal is to highlight positive impact and meaningful contributions, not just who has the most followers.
Community voting helps surface the people who consistently create safe spaces, great events, strong energy, and support for others in the Ottawa–Gatineau dance community.
All winners will be announced live at the EventOra Dance Awards Night 2026.
The event will take place in early 2026 in Ottawa–Gatineau. The exact date and venue will be shared as soon as details are confirmed.
Our plan is to give you an unforgettable night! You can expect:

Yes! The event is open to the full Ottawa–Gatineau community. Whether you are a dancer, instructor, DJ, organizer, or someone who just loves the vibe — you are welcome.
Absolutely! We welcome volunteers to help with planning, logistics, check-in, media, stage support, photography, and more.
